PCIP
Pacific Coast Intermodal Port

Find out more about how the PCIP will affect Empire residents

The Pacific Coast Intermodal Port (PCIP) project is a major development intended to expand regional shipping and logistics capabilities. However, residents living near the proposed site have raised important concerns. These include increased train traffic, potential noise and air pollution, risks to local wildlife habitats, and strain on existing infrastructure. There are also questions about the impact on property values, public health, and the character of nearby neighborhoods. The PCIP team is committed to addressing these concerns through careful planning, environmental safeguards, and ongoing community consultation to ensure that the project’s benefits are balanced with protecting the quality of life for local residents.
